When Paul falls in love for the first time at the age of 23- an age in which he thinks is too old to have only been in one relationship, he learns the importance of self-awareness and quickly has to grow up to learn the ins and outs of what it means to be an adult in a serious relationship for the first time in his life. Despite living in naivety his whole life under the control of his over-protective, traditional, and narcissistic mother, Paul learns the truth about his mother as she falls ill to Alzheimer's disease.
